Send Us a Photo
Not sure what you’ve got? Send us a picture. A good photo lets us tell you what it is and what it takes to fix it, often before we ever come out.
How to send it
Text your photos to 208-889-9222, and include:
- Your name
- Your address
If you can, add a line about where you found it (kitchen, garage, under the deck) and how many you’ve been seeing.
How to get a good picture
- Get close, don’t zoom. Move your phone closer and put a coin in the frame. That does two things: it gives the camera a great focal point, and it shows us how big the insect is.
- Take a few. One from the top, one from the side, and one wider shot showing where you found it.
- Use good light. Daylight or a flashlight works best. If the flash washes everything out, turn it off.
- Show the clues. Droppings, sawdust, chewed spots, nests, webs or damage tell us as much as the pest does.
- Moving too fast? Take a short video instead.
- Caught one? Put it in a sealed zip bag or a jar and stash it in the freezer. Lightly squished is OK, but whole is better.
Stay safe
A photo is never worth a sting or a bite. Take wasp and hornet nests from a distance, and never get close to a skunk, raccoon or other wild animal. A picture from across the yard is plenty, and we’ll take it from there.
