Flea Control in Spokane and North Idaho
Fleas come in on the dog, the cat, or the wildlife under the deck, and then the carpet does the rest: adult fleas are only about 5 percent of the problem; the eggs, larvae and pupae in carpet, pet bedding and floor cracks are the other 95. That is why you can treat the pet and still get bitten around the ankles for weeks.

Why fleas are a problem here
Warm homes year-round, pets, and raccoons, skunks and feral cats around the foundation that carry fleas to the property.
How we treat fleas
We treat carpets, pet areas, baseboards and furniture with a product plus an insect growth regulator that stops eggs and larvae from developing, and we treat the yard and under the deck where pets rest. You treat the pet with your vet’s product the same day and vacuum daily for two weeks; the vibration makes pupae hatch into the treatment. Flea work is a targeted job, not part of a regular plan: we inspect, quote the treatment and any follow-up, and you know the cost before we start.
What you can do
- Treat every pet in the home on the same day, with a vet-recommended product.
- Vacuum daily for two weeks and empty the canister outside.
- Wash pet bedding on hot.
- Keep wildlife out from under decks and porches.
- Do not expect a fogger to reach under furniture; it will not.
Plans and prices
Fleas are not on the regular plan list, because a flea job is a whole-house event: carpets, furniture, pet areas, the yard, and your pets treated the same day, with pupae still hatching for two weeks after. So we inspect, quote the job, and you pay for that job; no sign-up fee, no surprises. If you are already a plan customer, call us and we will quote it as an add-on to your next visit. The regular plans are on the Pricing page.
Questions we hear about fleas
Why am I still seeing fleas a week after treatment?
Pupae are protected from treatment and keep hatching for up to two weeks. They die when they contact the treated surface. Keep vacuuming.
Do I have to leave the house?
For a few hours while surfaces dry. We tell you exactly how long.
We have no pets. Where did the fleas come from?
Wildlife under the house or deck, a previous tenant’s pets, or a visiting animal. We look for the source.
