Wasp, Hornet and Yellowjacket Removal
Paper wasps build the open umbrella nests under eaves and in play structures. Yellowjackets nest in the ground, in wall voids and in attics, and they are the ones that ruin August barbecues and sting repeatedly. Bald-faced hornets build the big grey paper footballs in trees and on buildings. All three are at full strength from July to the first hard frost.

Why wasps and yellowjackets are a problem here
Long warm summers and plenty of eaves, sheds and decks. In fall, queens look for a warm wall to overwinter in, which is why you find wasps indoors in October and March.
How we treat wasps and yellowjackets
We find the nests on the property, including ground nests and nests in wall voids, treat them with products labeled for the job, and remove what can safely be reached. Wasps and yellowjackets are included in every plan at no extra charge, and our regular visits knock down new nests while they’re still the size of a golf ball. For a single nest, a one-time visit at the Quarterly price is fine. In a bad yellowjacket year, ask us about baiting: it works on the colonies you can’t find.
What you can do
- Seal gaps in siding, soffits and around vents in spring before queens move in.
- Keep garbage lids tight and clean up fallen fruit.
- Do not plug a hole with wasps coming out of it; they will chew into the house.
- Leave ground nests alone and call; yellowjackets defend them hard.
- Honey bees are different: we would rather save a swarm than spray it. Call us either way.
Plans and prices
Wasps and yellowjackets are included in every Property Shield plan. Most homes do best on the Quarterly plan, four visits a year at $150 each (about $50 a month); Tri-Annual, Bi-Monthly (essential oils) and Monthly plans are on the Pricing page. No sign-up fee. Not sure? Try us once at the Quarterly price. The Property Shield Promise: if a covered pest comes back between visits, so do we — NO charge.
Questions we hear about wasps and yellowjackets
Is that a bee or a wasp?
Fuzzy, round and golden: a honey bee or bumblebee, and we save those when we can. Smooth, shiny and narrow-waisted: a wasp or yellowjacket.
Will the nest come back?
Not that one; wasps do not reuse nests. New queens will try the same spot next year, which is what regular visits catch.
